МОНОМИТ ХЕРОЈСКОГ ПУТОВАЊА И ЊЕГОВЕ ПОРУКЕ У ФИЛМОВИМА РОКИ И РОКИ IV

Сажетак
У овом раду се расправља о филмовима Роки и Роки IV Силвестера Сталонеа из угла мономита херојског путовања Џозефа Кембела. У раду се показује да оба ова филма прате Кембелов образац догађаја у оквиру мономита херојског путовања, који се састоји из три дела: одлазак хероја у авантуру – победа хероја у авантури – повратак хероја у заједницу. Такође се показује да плодови успешних херојских путовања Рокија Балбое, који се овде посматра као модерни митски јунак, суштински шаљу две поруке. Прва порука је неполитичког типа, ослања се на симболику Рокија као некога са киме се свако ко води неку животну борбу може поистоветити, а нарочито аутсајдери, и гласи да је циљ живота увек се борити и давати све од себе без обзира на текуће животне околности, те се на тај начин суштински побеђује чак и кад се формално не остварују победе. Друга порука је политичко-идеолошког типа, ослања се на симболику Рокија као заступника америчке нације и гласи да су Сједињене Америчке Државе изузетне зато што, као прво, пружају могућност отворене друштвене мобилности и, као друго, зато што су посвећене мисији демократизације читавог света. Истиче се да прва, универзална, неполитичка порука на светском нивоу има више потенцијала за трајну популарност од друге, политичко-пропагандне.
