IMPORTANCE OF VLADISLAV S. RIBNIKAR AND HIS PART IN MEDIA DEVELOPMENT AND STRENGTHENING OF A DAILY INFORMATIVE-POLITICAL NEWSPAPER „POLITIKA”

Abstract
The paper analyses biography of Vladislav S Ribnikar, one of the most significant representatives of the family who founded paper “Politika”. The paper explores and publishes less known details from Vladislav S. Ribnikar’s biography, who was a highly positioned freemason, and who had strong connections to the Communist party as well as government superiors in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Further research has been done about the work and effort of this significant individual, considering the improvement he brought to the oldest paper on the Balkan territory, and his editorial and journalist duties. Between two world wars Vladislav S. Ribnikar made “Politika” one of the most respectful papers in southeast Europe, which could measure up to European metropolitan papers by the quality of journalistic texts, design and number of correspondents.
