THE YOUNGEST GENERATION OF SLOVAK VOJVODINIAN POETS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper analyzes the poetry and poetics of the youngest generation of poets in the literature of Vojvodinian Slovaks, primarily of their main representatives Mihal Bireš, Miroslava Dudkova and Ana Balažova. The poetic opus of these poets, who were born at the end of the 1970s, is analyzed in the context of changes in the literature of Vojvodinian Slovaks at the turn of the century. Special focus is on the new topics, procedures and meanings that these young poets have introduced into their opus thus significantly distancing themselves from the previous Generation X of poets. The greatest changes these poets have brought about in their work is an active relation towards the reality evoked by a poetic text, which to a great extent overcomes the postmodern skepticism and despondence.
