EVALUATION OF EVALUATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract
Evaluation implies procedures for the analysis monitoring and evaluation, the level of achievementof the set objectives, and undertaking of corrective actions, if the process shows that theobjectives and tasks of education are not efficiently implemented. The evaluation is a complexprocess that should involve all educational dimensions, i.e. not only results, but every stage of theprocess from the standpoint of students, teachers, learning process conditions, quality of work ofeducational institutions, and characteristics of its relationships with the social environment. In thatsense, three evaluation functions could be distinguished: standards setting, measurement andanalysis of the achieved results in relation to the adopted standards and creation of possible directionsand activities of further successful work.
